User Interview

Prompt

To effectively address our design challenge and spark initial ideas, we will begin by learning about Human-Centered Design (HCD). Human-Centered Design is an approach to problem-solving that prioritizes understanding users' needs, experiences, and challenges before creating solutions. By following this process, we ensure that our designs are meaningful, functional, and impactful.

    • With your teacher, explore resources on HCD principles.
    • Discuss how HCD is used in developing health-focused wearable technology.
  2. Learn about Interviewing & Conduct an Interview Analysis Exercise

    • Practice analyzing interviews using sample transcripts to identify key insights, themes, and pain points.
  3. Conduct an Interview

    • Interview a peer or someone who could be a potential user of a health wearable.
    • Focus on their needs, challenges, and thoughts related to health and technology.
  4. Fill Out a Persona Template

    • Use the information gathered from your interview to create a Persona—a fictional but research-based representation of your user.
